Regulations of Golf Tournament

Individual participant（limit to 120 golfers）

Amateur golfer
Article 10 Format of play:
The tournament will be played two rounds (36 holes) of individual stroke-play （men：white tee, ladies: red tee）. The winner will be decided on the basis of the low gross scores of all 2 rounds.
If there is a tie (or ties) among top 8, the tie or ties shall be broken in the following orders:
a. The winner is the lower gross scores of the second round;
b. The winner is the lower gross scores of the back nine of the second round;
c. The winner is the lower gross scores by matching back the gross scores from the 18th hole of the second round;
Article 11 Rules:
11.1 The tournament will use the Rules of Golf by the R & A and USGA (2008 edition), and the Local Rules as approved by the Organizing Committee;
11.2 The golfers may prepare the equipments by themselves or rent from the golf club. The rental (clubs) is RM 80 per day (about CNY 176 per day);
11.3 The Organizing Committee shall appoint the referees and staff of the jury committee;
11.4 Dress code:

Article 12 Enrollment position and reward
12.1 The top 8 golfers of gross scores of all 2 rounds shall be awarded trophy, certificate and award;
12.2 The ‘Best Sportsmanship’, which is appraised by the Competition Committee, shall be awarded to two (2) golfers with the‘HuaYun Star’ and the certificates;
12.3 All the golfers shall be presented a liaison book.
Article 13 Charging Standard (there are Charging Standard A and Charging Standard B for the participants to choose):
13.1 Charging standard A：CNY 3900 or US$ 580 or RM 1810.
The charge includes:
● The entry fee (including green fee , caddie fee);
● Oct. 19 to Oct. 22, 2008, four (4) nights of single room of four-star hotel （including breakfast）;
● Lunches of the match day (Oct. 21 and Oct.22, 2008), offered by the golf club;
● The Opening Ceremony;
● The Closing Ceremony/Banquet;
● Economy and Trade Intercommunication;
● Accident Insurance during the events.
● Bus services;
The charge excludes:
○ Lunches of the non-match days ( Oct. 19 and Oct.20, 2008 ) ;
○ Dinners during the Tournament (Oct. 19 to Oct.21, 2008 );
○ The return fare (the Organizing Committee shall help the participants to buy the airplane tickets at the request of the participant. The concrete ticket price takes the price of the time as standard);
○ The VISA fee (The Organizing Committee shall help the participants of Chinese Mainland to apply the VISA at the request of the participants. The VISA fee is CNY 300 and the express delivery expense shall be borne by the applicants themselves);
○ The 3-day tour in Malaysia;
○ Other expenses not listed in the regulations.
13.2 Charging standard B: CNY 1260 or US$ 190 or RM 590.
The charge includes:
● The entry fee (including green fee ,caddie fee );
● Lunches of the match day (Oct. 21 and Oct.22, 2008), offered by the golf club;
● Economy and Trade Intercommunication;
● The Opening Ceremony;
● The Closing Ceremony/Banquet;
Notice: all the participants who take the Charging Standard B shall take the whole responsibility of the transportation and other expenses not listed in the regulations.
Article 14 the Entries, the Registration, the Punishment, the Appeals and other related matters see also the General Regulations of the 1st Universal Chinese Sports, Malaysia. If there is any dispute, take the Chinese version of the Regulations of Golf Tournament as the standard.
